Once upon a time there was a young girl, she was strong and rebellious. She fought to rise above her circumstances. She left home when she was 18 years old, moved out on her own. She met her Prince Charming. He fell in love with her and she with him. She moved 6 hours away to be with him. They were young and in love. They got engaged.
Then he got sick, with cancer. They got married. They were strong. They would beat this. She told him he couldn't die first. All she wanted was to grow old with him, to sit on the front porch together and rock away.
The Lord is my strength and my shield: my heart trusts in him and he helps me. My heart leaps for Joy and with my song I praise him.
But God had other plans.. 10 days after their second wedding anniversary her Prince Charming went to his Heavenly Home. The pain of the loss, the desire to curl up into a ball and give up on life drove a new dream and a new goal into her heart. She determined to make a difference in the world. She dreamed of doing big things for Jesus. Cause the only way to survive is to rest in His Presence.
You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my fortress. Psalms 59:9

“Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord. Isaiah 54:1

Life is what you make of it.. We have taken a whole lot of hurt and loss and brought it together to find joy in life. We show you the good things in our lives. I chose not to write about the big obstacles we face for the sake of my children's privacy. This blog is not a complete look at our lives but a snippet of the blessings that God has given us...
Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be my helper." 11You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, 12That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
Psalms 310:10-11
